Cyber Security & IT Compliance Manager at atNorth

We are looking for a Cyber Security & IT Compliance Manager to strengthen our information security governance, IT policies, and compliance operations. You will work closely with our Security & Compliance department to ensure that IT controls, documentation, and processes meet organizational, audit, and certification requirements.
This role focuses on cyber governance, policy ownership, compliance coordination, risk management, and documentation excellence, helping us maintain a strong, audit‑ready, and well‑governed IT environment.

The role can be based in Reykjavik, Copenhagen, Stockholm, or Helsinki.


Key responsibilities:

Cyber Security Governance

  • Maintain and improve IT and cyber security governance frameworks

  • Own and manage IT security policies, standards, and procedures

  • Ensure IT controls meet organizational security requirements

  • Act as a key link between IT, engineering, and the Security & Compliance team

Compliance & Audit Support

  • Support ISO certifications and external/internal audit activities

  • Assist with audit preparation, evidence collection, and remediation

  • Maintain accurate and audit‑ready compliance documentation

  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of IT controls and processes

Risk & Control Management

  • Identify and manage IT and cyber security risks

  • Maintain risk registers and support risk treatment efforts

  • Ensure risks are reflected consistently in IT policies and procedures

Policy, Documentation & Awareness

  • Develop, maintain, and review IT policies and operational documentation

  • Keep documentation current, consistent, and fully auditable

  • Support internal awareness initiatives and promote good governance practices

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Security & Compliance department on governance and audit topics

  • Partner with IT, infrastructure, and engineering teams to align practices with policies

  • Support vendor and third‑party compliance reviews related to IT services

Your profile

Core requirements

  • Experience in cyber security, IT governance, or IT compliance

  • Strong understanding of IT policies, governance frameworks, and compliance processes

  • Hands‑on experience with ISO audits or similar certifications

  • Excellent documentation, organizational, and coordination skills

  • Comfortable collaborating across both technical and non‑technical teams

Governance & compliance competencies

  • Understanding of information security management systems (ISMS)

  • Experience maintaining audit evidence and compliance records

  • Familiarity with risk management and control frameworks

Communication & collaboration

  • Ability to bridge IT and compliance functions effectively

  • Experience working with auditors, assessors, or external stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • Experience in organizations with dedicated compliance functions

  • Exposure to regulated or high‑security environments

  • Experience supporting internal audits or assurance activities

  • Understanding of infrastructure or platform operations
