<li>Review technical drawings, plans, and other ship design documentation to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.</li>
<li>Engage in professional collaboration and communication with ship designers, shipowners, and inspection bodies.</li>
<li>Contribute to technical assessments and develop expertise in ship technology and design requirements.</li>
<li>Participate in international cooperation and working groups within organisations such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO) and the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA).</li>
<li>Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of processes within the certified quality management system of the Ship Department.</li>

<li>A degree relevant to the position, such as Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.</li>
<li>Strong interest in technical and engineering matters, with a willingness to learn and acquire new knowledge.</li>
<li>Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.</li>
<li>Ability to work independently, show initiative, and maintain good organisational skills.</li>
<li>Good command of English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Icelandic is considered an advantage.</li>
