AI Solutions Engineer at atNorth
We are looking for two AI Solutions Engineers with a strong software engineering background to build custom AI-powered applications and integrations. Working with business and technical teams, you will write and maintain production code for agents and workflow automation, taking solutions from design through deployment and ongoing improvement.
• Design, build and maintain custom AI applications and services from prototype to production
• Work with business, data and IT teams to define technical designs and measurable success criteria
• Write maintainable code using version control, code reviews, automated tests and repeatable deployments
• Build integrations with internal systems, APIs and data, with appropriate security, data protection, guardrails, fallbacks and human oversight
• Test and evaluate AI output for accuracy, reliability and failure modes, alongside normal software quality checks
• Monitor, troubleshoot and improve deployed solutions for quality, performance and cost
• Build reusable components and document patterns so the team can deliver faster
• Strong programming skills and experience building, deploying and maintaining production software
• Hands-on experience building and evaluating AI applications, including model APIs, system integration and safeguards
• Understanding of prompting, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agent workflows, and when to use them
• Practical problem-solving skills, sound technical judgment and ability to adapt
• Ownership of your work and collaboration with technical and non-technical colleagues
• Fluent in English
Useful additional experience
• Experience with AI application frameworks, orchestration tools or model deployment platforms
• Cloud deployment and application monitoring
