Enterprise Architect | Embla Medical
Embla Medical’s Enterprise IT is looking for an experienced Enterprise Architect to help shape and govern technology architecture across our global organization. This role is one of several Enterprise Architect roles across the company and is expected to work collaboratively within the broader enterprise architecture community to ensure coherence and alignment on the technology landscape, as well as architecture standards. This role partners closely with senior business and IT leaders across the organization.
As an Enterprise Architect, you will connect business strategy, technology direction, and execution. You will influence enterprise-wide decisions, strengthen architecture maturity, and help ensure that the technology chosen contributes positively to Embla Medical’s business outcomes.
You will own a certain domain and lead the architecture on that domain, while at the same time understanding how it connects with the organization-wide enterprise architecture.

Own and evolve enterprise technology roadmaps for your domain

Advise executive, business, and IT leaders on technology investments, platforms, capabilities, and architectural trade-offs.

Collaborate with other enterprise and solutions architects to align decisions, standards, and roadmaps across the organization.

Identify capability gaps, risks, and opportunities, and recommend practical solutions that support business and IT strategies.

Monitor emerging technologies and disruptive trends, assessing where innovation can create measurable business value.

Contribute to Enterprise IT priorities, operating model decisions, and strategic direction as a member of the VP of Enterprise IT leadership team.

University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Technology, or a related field, or equivalent senior-level experience.

10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise architecture, technology leadership, IT strategy, solution architecture, or related senior technology roles.

Broad understanding of existing and emerging technologies, their interdependencies, and their relevance to business capabilities, operating models, and enterprise platforms.

Proven ability to advise, challenge, and influence senior leaders, including executive stakeholders and director-level peers.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technology topics in clear business language.

Familiarity with enterprise architecture tools, frameworks, and related visual models.

A pragmatic and collaborative approach, with the composure to navigate different perspectives while upholding architecture principles, governance, and standards.
