We are looking for a positive and service-minded person to work part-time as a front desk service representative in Reykjavik. The hours vary and generally range from 10-12 hour shifts.
The job includes answering the phone and emails, welcoming our guests, assisting with ticket sales and souvenirs, serving drinks (ranging from coffee to basic cocktails), cleaning the facilities, preparing souvenirs, and generally offering the best service possible. We are looking for someone who has a positive outlook on life, an easy smile, a happy-go-lucky attitude, and who is willing to go the extra mile to make our visitors feel comfortable and happy.
Lava Show has big plans for the future and those who join our close-knit team and do a good job will have the chance to grow with the company as it grows.

Starfið felur í sér að svara í síma og tölvupósti, taka á móti gestum, aðstoða við miðasölu og minjagripasölu, bera fram drykki (allt frá kaffi til einfaldra kokteila), þrífa aðstöðuna, undirbúa minjagripi og almennt veita okkar bestu þjónustu. Við leitum að einstaklingi með jákvæða lífssýn, glaðlynt viðhorf og vilja til að leggja sig fram til að láta gesti okkar líða vel og vera ánægða.

- Welcoming guests
- Answering emails and phone calls
- Selling tickets and souvenirs
- Making and serving coffee, drinks and other refreshments
- Cleaning of facilities and keeping our work environment tidy and neat, including the souvenir shop, bar area, lava showroom, the general customer area, bathrooms, and our staff area
- Contribute and work together with other staff members to create the best possible work environment
- Providing excellent customer service
- Being proactive and showing initiative on finding ways that we can improve and do better on everything that creates the best possible experience for our employees and visitors
- Making sure our visitors leave with warm memories of fantastic customer service and an unforgettable experience
- Passionate about customer satisfaction and customer service
- Excellent English language capabilities, other languages are a bonus
- Positivity and a happy-go-lucky attitude
- Prior experience with customer service
- Barista and/or bar tender experience is a plus (but not necessary)
