

DevOps Engineer
CookieHub is a consent management platform (CMP) helping organizations worldwide comply with privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and IAB frameworks. Our systems process millions of events daily, requiring a secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team at our offices in Reykjanesbær, Iceland and help strengthen and evolve our infrastructure, deployment processes, and compliance practices.

Design, build, and maintain scalable infrastructure to support high-volume traffic.

Manage observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting systems for platform health.

Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for reliable deployment and integration testing.

Harden and maintain servers, ensuring security best practices are followed.

Conduct advanced debugging, root cause analysis, and reporting of incidents.

Optimize infrastructure performance and costs.

Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions.

Support containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or similar).

Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and other security standards.

Develop disaster recovery and backup strategies.

Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment and release processes.

Document systems, processes, and runbooks to ensure transparency and continuity.

Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred, GCP or Azure also valuable).

Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Pulumi).

Proficiency with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).

Solid understanding of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK stack, Datadog, or similar).

Expertise in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or similar).

Strong Linux system administration skills.

Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).

Proficiency in at least one scripting/programming language (Python, Bash, Go, etc.).

Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
