Plant Product Manager

CRI is seeking a Plant Product Manager to lead the development and lifecycle of our Plant-as-a-Product portfolio, delivering standardized, high-performance solutions that enable the large-scale deployment of green methanol and other renewable chemical technologies.

As Plant Product Manager, you will play a key role in shaping product strategy, ensuring technical excellence, and aligning our engineering and commercial efforts to meet global market needs. This role bridges R&D, Engineering, and Business Development, combining technical depth with strategic impact, and represents CRI’s technology both internally and externally.

This position is based in Reykjavík, Iceland. While relocation is not mandatory, candidates who are open to relocating will be considered favorably, and relocation support is available for qualified candidates.

  • Lead the development of CRI’s Plant-as-a-Product portfolio from concept to implementation.
  • Define product architecture, performance expectations, and technical standards in collaboration with R&D and Engineering.
  • Represent CRI’s Plant-as-a-Product solutions internally and externally as the subject matter expert.
  • Drive standardization of process plants and maintain technical specifications for each product.
  • Support the Sales team with technical materials, feasibility studies, and documentation during the sales cycle.
  • Monitor product performance and drive continuous improvement across the product portfolio.
  • Integrate adjacent technologies into product definitions to enhance performance and innovation.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Commercial, and Project Management teams to align product strategy with business goals.
  • Engage with suppliers, partners, and clients to ensure successful product deployment and alignment of technical expectations.
  • Perform other product-related tasks as designated by the Chief Technology Officer to support strategic and organizational priorities.
Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur
  • Postgraduate degree in a relevant Engineering field (e.g., Chemical, Process, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering).
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in product development, process engineering, or plant design.
  • Proven ability to bridge technical and commercial perspectives in product management.
  • Experience in technology standardization and lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with process plant design, modularization, and technology commercialization is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach.
  • Passion for innovation, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering or project management tools.
