

Materials Readiness Planner - Procurement / Sérfræðingur í áætlanagerð og efnisframboði
We are looking for a Materials Readiness Planner to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring material availability to support manufacturing operations, while driving inventory optimization, supply continuity, and planning excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Scope and Responsibilities

Develop and maintain material readiness plans aligned with manufacturing schedules.

Ensure material availability to support production activities.

Monitor demand, inventory levels, and supply risks.

Coordinate material staging and readiness activities.
-
Support S&OP and production planning reviews.
-
Own and maintain SAP planning parameters.
-
Optimize inventory levels while minimizing excess and obsolete stock.

Monitor open purchase orders and inbound deliveries.
-
Coordinate with Procurement, Logistics, QA/QC, and suppliers to ensure timely material availability.

Identify, communicate, and support resolution of supply risks and constraints.

Support continuous improvement initiatives across planning and supply chain processes.
Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.

Experience in planning, purchasing, or materials management within a manufacturing environment.

Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience is an advantage.

Working knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience with AI-enabled tools is considered an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
