The work includes, among other things:

Regular health inspections at fish farms, both at sea and on land

Sampling and disease diagnostics

Laboratory work
-
Advisory work on improving fish welfare and preventive health measures

Education and training for fish farm employees
-
Various health and infection control assessments
-
Participation in diverse projects and occasional research activities
-
Hygiene audits of fish farming equipment and service vessels
This is a temporary position (end of September 2027), with the possibility of becoming a permanent role for the right candidate.

Work permit for Iceland

Veterinarian degree with authorization in Iceland
-
Industry experience is required

Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Good Icelandic or English language skills.
