Director Line Maintenance

Air Atlanta Icelandic seeks an energetic leader with strong communication skills to lead its Line Maintenance team.

The company operates line maintenance stations in Saudi Arabia, Belgium, and the United Kingdom. The Director of Line Maintenance oversees a range of projects that require diverse skills. This position also involves regular international travel.

Director Line Maintenance reports directly to Vice President Maintenance.

Main roles and responsibilities:

• The running and responsibility of the airlines line stations, focusing on safety and efficiency
• Manpower planning and oversight in accordance with budget and fleet at any given time
• Responsible for the adequate training and competency levels of line maintenance team members
• Ultimately responsible for the departments procedures and adherence to them, looking for continuous improvement as possible
• Communication and contract negotiation with 3rd party line maintenance providers
• Management of non conformities raised within line maintenance and improving safety at all times
• Other projects as they come in an ever changing environment

Qualifications:

• Part-66 licence or a degree in engineering with a solid technical background
• Good overall knowledge of aviation maintenance with at least 3 years of experience and at a minimum one year in a management role
• Team leader and excellent communication skills
• Being able to take the Initiative and work independently is a must
• Excellent understanding of the English language is required along with solid computer skills
• Safety awareness and discipline
• Experience of line maintenance management is a definite plus
