Forklift Driver
Spes Seafood ehf. is looking for a motivated and reliable Forklift Driver to join our team in Sandgerði.
In this role, you will be responsible for the internal transport and handling of raw materials, production supplies, and finished products throughout our seafood processing facility. You will play an important role in ensuring that production runs efficiently by supplying the necessary materials and supporting logistics activities.
Your workday starts with organizing and sorting the raw materials purchased from the fish auctions, after which you will support production by transporting fish, supplying ice and other materials, and assisting with loading outbound containers and trailers.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team, takes responsibility, and is comfortable working in a dynamic production environment.
- Operating a forklift safely and efficiently throughout the facility
- Supporting production with the timely transport of raw materials and supplies
- Loading containers and trailers for export and transport
- Organizing and maintaining warehouse and storage areas
- Assisting with general logistics and operational activities
- Contributing to a safe, clean, and efficient working environment
- Valid Icelandic forklift driver's license (required)
- Truck driver's license is considered an advantage
- Good command of English
- Experience operating forklifts in a production, warehouse, or logistics environment is preferred
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
- Strong team player with a hands-on work mentality
- Able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
