Project Manager - Customer Delivery

Join us and help build the technology powering the future of Metals Intelligence.

As Project Manager, you will coordinate complex engineering and implementation projects from contract signature through factory testing, shipment, installation, commissioning, site acceptance, and handover to operational support.

You will work closely with customers and DTE teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure smooth execution, clear communication, and successful project delivery.

A key part of the role is preparing both DTE and the customer for successful implementation by aligning expectations, responsibilities, timelines, site readiness, and acceptance requirements early in the process.

We are looking for someone with a technical background, strong communication skills, a structured approach, and a hands-on mindset. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, solving challenges, and contributing to innovative technology projects, we would like to hear from you.

The role is based in Iceland and requires an Icelandic work permit, with regular international travel to customer sites for installation, commissioning, and acceptance activities.

Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Project Management, or a related field is preferred.
Project Management certification (PMI, IPMA, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is an advantage.
Experience coordinating technical or industrial projects, preferably involving hardware, software, installation, commissioning, or customer delivery.
Strong technical understanding and ability to collaborate with Engineering, Production, Service, customers, and external partners.
Experience with project planning, documentation, risk tracking, and cross-functional coordination is an advantage.
Experience from aluminum, metals, recycling, manufacturing, or industrial technology is an advantage.
Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.

Main Tasks & Responsibililties

Manage customer delivery projects from contract signature through FAT, shipment, installation, commissioning, SAT, and handover to Service.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and status reporting.
Act as the main point of contact for customers during project execution.
Coordinate activities across Engineering, Software, Production, Sales, and Service teams.
Track project progress, risks, actions, and dependencies to ensure smooth delivery.
Coordinate customer site readiness, including access, utilities, safety requirements, logistics, and installation conditions.
Coordinate engineering deliverables, production readiness, testing, installation, training, and final handover.
Manage project documentation, change requests, and delivery records.
Coordinate external suppliers and subcontractors when required.
Build strong working relationships with customers and internal teams to resolve challenges.
Support continuous improvement of DTE’s project tools, processes, and documentation.
Support project reviews and lessons learned after delivery
