Microbiology Senior Scientist

Overview of role:

Alvotech in Reykjavik is looking for experienced Microbiology Scientist to join the Quality Control - Microbiology department.

Scope and responsibility:

• This position is responsible for performance of Environmental and Utilities monitoring.
• Responsible for performing of all Microbial testing activities (Bioburden Testing, Endotoxin Testing, Sterility Testing, Growth Promotion) as required.
• Review of documentation pertaining to the microbiology sampling and testing activities.
• Participation as required in Aseptic Process Simulation activities.
• Responsible for the laboratory support related activities like autoclaving, Media preparation, plate reading etc.
• Responsible for conducting the microbiological verification of products/ materials.

Job requirements:

• Masters in Microbiology/ Biotechnology or related fields.
• 4+ years experience in microbiology.
• In-depth knowledge of current regulatory requirements in support of Aseptic manufacturing and cGMP manufacturing operations.
• Team player with strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with electronic systems such as LIMS, Veeva, EDMS MODA, etc., is an advantage.
