Looking for experienced Glacier Guide – Fjallsárlón

Fjallsárlón is looking for professional, safety-conscious, and charismatic Glacier Guides to join our team.

We are looking for guides with solid glacier guiding experience in Iceland, a minimum qualification of Jökla 3, and a good reputation within the guiding community.
The right candidate should not only be technically competent on the ice, but also have a strong service mindset, a positive attitude, and excellent approach to guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Glacier Guiding
  Leading small groups on the ice, making sure all safety gear is fitted and used correctly, and providing guests with an informative, safe, and memorable experience.
  
  
• Guest Experience
  Creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere, communicating clearly with guests, and adapting the tour experience to the group’s needs while maintaining safety standards.
  
  
• Safety and Teamwork
  Following company procedures, working closely with the guide team, staying calm under pressure, and contributing to a safe and professional operation.

Requirements

• Minimum Jökla 3 certification is required.
• Previous glacier guiding experience in Iceland is essential.
• Very good communicative English is required.
• Calm and professional attitude. Good opinion and reputation within the guiding community.
