We are currently seeking experienced candidates for two key roles in our high-energy Bistro:

- Core Duties (Both Roles)

Culinary Excellence: Prepare and serve food that meets Hótel Húsafell’s high quality and service standards.

Operational Efficiency: Demonstrate the ability to produce a high volume of work in a timely manner without compromising quality.

Kitchen Management: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and assist in organizing storage areas.

Problem Solving: Proactively address issues as they arise and maintain control of the kitchen environment during busy shifts.

Professionalism: * Maintain a punctual and reliable attendance record.

Communicate effectively and respectfully with managers, colleagues, and guests.

Foster a harmonious, positive, and professional team environment.

In addition to the core duties above, the Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for the overall flow and management of the kitchen:

Leadership & Oversight: Supervise the kitchen team, direct food preparation, and lead by example regarding character and work ethic.

Operational Management: * Manage inventory, oversee "doing orders" (procurement), and organize supplies.
-
Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure everything is in top working order.
-

Strategic Collaboration: * Work closely with the Head Chef on menu planning and kitchen performance.

Contribute creative ideas and suggestions to improve workflow and culinary standards.

- 3 years of Previous experience in multiple culinary
- Ability to supervise, demonstrate and expedite in various kitchen production areas
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of managing your own station
- Working knowledge of Food Saftey and HACCP
- Icelandic Kennitala would be beneficial
- Oral understanding of English is a must
- A team player
