Í starfinu verður þú hluti af teymi sem styður R&D starfsemina með framúrskarandi umsjón rannsóknastofa. Í þessu hlutverki munt þú sjá um að tryggja að rekstur rannsóknarstofa sé í samræmi við þá staðla sem við störfum eftir, meðal annars með tilliti til öryggis og hreinlætis.
Hæfniskröfur:
- BS eða MS gráða í lífvísindum, verkfræði eða skyldum greinum.
- Framúrskarandi skipulagshæfni.
- Reynsla af rekstri rannsóknarstofa og/eða innkaupum er æskileg.
- Reynsla og þekking á vinnu á rannsóknarstofu er kostur.
- Hæfni til að veita upplýsingar í rituðu og töluðu máli er nauðsynleg.
- Góð færni í noktkun algengra Microsoft-forrita er nauðsynleg.
- Góð enskukunnátta í töluðu og rituðu máli.

We are seeking a Lab Manager for our laboratories within R&D. This role is a one‑year temporary position.
As lab manager you will be part of the Technical Services team and support the R&D organization with superior lab management. In this role you will help to manage a safe, clean, pleasant, and efficient running of the R&D laboratories / areas.
Scope and responsibility
- Ensuring smooth operation of R&D labs.
- Responsible for R&D Equipment Lifecycle Management, including but not limited to commissioning, relocation and decommissioning of equipment.
- Responsible for management and activities for all common rooms, including washroom, cryo storage rooms, storage rooms, solution and media preparation rooms, change rooms, etc.
- Responsible for stock and inventory management.
- Coordination of equipment maintenance and calibrations in collaboration with maintenance- and metrology teams and vendors.
- Responsible for management of general laboratory documentation (e.g. logbooks, equipment lists and procedures).
- Responsible for overseeing lab, labware, and equipment cleaning.
- Responsible for lab tour for new hires.
Job requirements
- BS or MS in Life Science, Engineering or related subjects.
- Outstanding planning and prioritization skills.
- Prior experience in lab management/procurement is preferred.
- Lab experience and scientific knowledge, preferred.
- Ability to report information in written and verbal format, required.
- Proficient use of common Microsoft packages, required.
- Fluent in English, speaking and writing.
