Software developer

We are looking for a hands-on software developer to help develop, maintain and improve our software systems for use on fishing vessels and underwater equipment. This is a broad technical role in a small startup team. You will work on backend services, databases, control software, networking, embedded systems and deployment infrastructure. You do not need to be an expert in every area, but you should be comfortable learning quickly, solving practical problems and taking responsibility for systems that need to work outside the office.

Understand networking infrastructure
Develop, test and maintain APIs
Work with relational databases
Develop and maintain software for embedded systems
Develop, test and train machine learning models
Build and maintain CI/CD workflows
Debug software, network and hardware-related issues in real-world field conditions
Document systems clearly so they can be maintained and improved over time
Work closely with the rest of the team to turn prototypes into reliable products
