Front Desk Agent – Full-Time, Long-Term Position

Hotel Vík in Mýrdal is hiring Front Desk Agent to join our reception team.

We are looking for a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent, with excellent communication skills. Successful candidate should be a great team player with a "can-do" attitude. Excellent English written and spoken skills (other language is a plus) is required as well as previous Front desk experience. Experience in Godo PMS is a plus.

This is a full-time and long-term position.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Greet and welcome guests, perform check-in and check-out procedures, and assigning rooms in a friendly and professional manner,
Handle room reservations, cancellations, and booking modifications,
Resolve guest complaints in a professional and efficient manner ensuring the most effective solutions are found,
Provide information about hotel, hotel services, facilities, local attractions, and any additional inquries,
Process payments, invoices, and maintain accurate guest records,
Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure rooms are ready and guest issues are resolved,
Selling souvenirs, postcards, stamps, etc;
Monitor lobby and front desk areas to maintain a welcoming environment
Support teamwork across departments to deliver excellent guest service
