Tax Free operations executive

• In-store training and awareness build for key merchants and partners.
• Stationery delivery and stock maintenance across merchant and partner's high-traffic locations
• Local first-line phone support.
• On-floor presence during cruise and peak tourist days
• Refund-point visits at Keflavík and the smaller airports and ports
• An administrative and reporting function within the global Tax Free Support team

The role is execution-focused and Iceland-based, working in close collaboration with the global Tax Free Support team, which continues to own remote and back-office activity.

The primary performance measure for this role is match rate improvement across the Icelandic Tax Free portfolio, with a minimum expectation of a 2 percentage point increase during the contract term.

Secondary indicators of success include:

• Consistent stationery availability at merchants and partner locations through peak season
• Maintained response times on the Icelandic Tax Free phone line
• Documented training sessions and field activity delivered against plan
• Positive feedback from commercial partners and refund network stakeholders

Required

• Fluent Icelandic (native or business-level) and good working English, both spoken and written
• Icelandic driving licence and access to a personal vehicle (Car allowance paid)
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with regular travel across the Reykjavík area and occasional trips to regional airports and ports
• Availability to work flexibly during peak season, including some weekends and early mornings around cruise-ship arrivals and peak hours at airports.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; confident representing Planet in customer-facing settings
• Well organised, dependable, and able to prioritise across multiple concurrent tasks

Preferred

• Prior experience in retail, hospitality, tourism, or customer-facing operations
• Familiarity with Tax Free / VAT refund processes or Iceland's tourism sector
• Basic comfort with reporting and data entry (Excel, CRM tools)
• Interest in payments, retail technology, or field commercial operations as a longer-term career direction
