In a world increasingly focused on sustainability, Klappir is leading the charge, helping businesses align with the intricate challenges of sustainability accounting and reporting.

We’re looking for a hands-on software engineer to own and evolve our data ingestion platform, a system responsible for integrating external data sources, automating data flows, and keeping critical integrations running in production.

This is a hybrid engineering role combining backend development, data integration, and operational ownership.

Helstu verkefni og ábyrgð

Work on the technical development of the system
Build and maintain API-based integrations
Design and operate automation and ingestion pipelines
Implement monitoring, logging, and error handling
Onboard new integrations and data sources
Troubleshoot data and integration issues in production
Collaborate with suppliers, partners, customers, and internal teams when needed

Menntunar- og hæfniskröfur

Good experience with Node.js and TypeScript
Experience with AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, S3)
Understanding of API integrations and event-driven systems
Innovative mindset for creative solutions
Comfortable taking ownership of systems in production
Actively participate in team-wide collaboration to ensure quality and consistency across the platform.
