System Administrator
We seek a skilled System Administrator to join our IT team in supporting employees and project delivery of mission-critical Air Traffic Control systems.
As System Administrator at Tern Systems, you will put your expertise into supporting employees, projects and IT initiatives aimed at maintaining and improving our infrastructure and security. You will also help ensure that our IT operational environment meets company needs and follows best practices. You will work in Linux, Google and Windows environments, working on various tasks, including hardware and software procurement, network administration and user management.
As an ideal candidate, you will have professional experience in Linux administration and networking. You will have experience working in supporting employees and projects, you will have the ability to prioritise and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day operations of the IT infrastructure
- Providing technical support to employees and projects
- User management in Active Directory, Google Workspace
- Hardware and network installation and configuration
- Maintaining Linux and Windows servers on a day-to-day basis
- Ensure systems, services and network access are maintained in line with security policies and procedures
- Support implementation of automation in the work environment
- Write guidelines and technical documentation
- Constantly update industry knowledge and skills
Professional Requirements
- Certified training in Linux OS management, Network Management or other relevant subject
- Experience with a variety of operating systems, including Windows, Linux, and macOS
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong analytical and technical skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- University degree in a related technical field
- Experience with system security and compliance (e.g. ISO 27001)
- Experience with a variety of network protocols and technologies
- Proficiency in using automation tools such as Ansible
- Experience with programming languages relevant to IT administration, such as Python and Bash.
